Whether you just need unbiased advice, or you are new to the independent schooling system and need our full support in choosing the right boarding school placement for your child, you can rely on our knowledgeable team to guide you towards a decision that makes long term sense for your family.
Our educational consultants can help you:
There are thousands of boarding schools in the UK alone, and not all of them have an innate understanding of the needs of Armed Forces families. After listening closely to your requirements, we will pull together a shortlist of schools/colleges that we feel will be the best fit for your child. All the schools we represent have been personally vetted by our Managing Director, Colin Fleetwood.
Helping military families find the right school inevitably involves visiting suitable schools/colleges with our clients and playing devil’s
advocate during every viewing. We can arrange your appointments, then accompany you to each visit to ensure you get as much value as possible from your experience (and can run any queries past us on the day).
Once we have collected information on your preferred schools and visited each of the front runners, we will help you come to a
final decision. There will be a lot to consider – as well as academic provision, you will need to think about the school’s transport links, its extra-curricular facilities, its pastoral care provisions, and everything in between.
The costs involved in placing your child with an independent boarding school will also have a bearing on which school/college you
eventually settle on. Reassuringly, CSF Educational Consultants has negotiated impressive discounts for military children at many of the schools we represent. We can explore the various scholarships and bursaries on offer, too.
Applying for the Continuity Education Allowance (CEA) can also bring down the cost of your placement considerably. We can advise on whether you are eligible for the CEA, and even help you complete all the forms correctly, so your application has the best chance of success. More information on the CEA can be found here.
Our involvement will not end on your child’s first day in their new school setting. We will be on hand to address any teething issues, answer any post-placement queries, and liaise with the school on your behalf if any problems arise. Parents have found our ongoing support to be invaluable as they and their children complete the transition into their new arrangement.
